Engine & Performance
As soon as the lights give the starting signal, the new 911 GT3 RS delivers unbelievable performance of up to 342 lb-ft on the racetrack. The rear-wheel drive GT3 RS has a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which features shorter gear ratios than the current model of GT3. Additionally, the lightweight stainless steel sport exhaust system ensures an unfiltered sound experience up to a maximum of 9,000 rpm. CarBuzz gives the new 911 GT3 RS a 10/10 in performance.
This high-performance Porsche also has upgrades to its cooling and aerodynamics systems that further enhance its power. The new central radiator replaces a three-radiator system in previous versions, enabling space for a new active aerodynamic element at the front of the car. This Porsche can produce 901 pounds of downforce at 124 miles per hour. That’s twice as much as its 991.2-gen predecessor.
According to Porsche, “The new 911 GT3 RS reduces the need to brake before bends and chicanes to a minimum. The ultra high performance (UHP) tires with 275/35 R20 at the front and 335/30 R21 at the rear, new wider wheels and wider track provide more lateral dynamics and higher cornering speeds.”
